Flavio Frohlich PhD
Flavio was born and raised in Switzerland, where he studied electrical engineering at the world-famous ETH in Zurich. He moved to the United States for his graduate education and has adopted the USA as his home country. After training with some of the best neuroscientists at UCSD and Yale University, Flavio moved to North Carolina to join UNC - Chapel Hill. Flavio currently is associate professor of Psychiatry, Neurology (adjunct), Cell Biology and Physiology, and Biomedical Engineering (adjunct) at UNC. Flavio directs the Carolina Center for Neurostimulation at UNC, where he studies novel non-invasive brain stimulation for the treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders. He also is adjunct professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University in Raleigh and adjunct professor in Neurology at the Insel Spital in Bern, Switzerland.
